Product Description

Roller chain 12B-1

Chain 12B-1 is a simplex roller chain compliant with the European dimensional standard, with a pitch of 19.05 mm. Pins, rollers and plates are hardened separately before assembly - as a European manufacturer, we treat this as standard, so the chain retains its original dimensions for a long time and does not "stretch" under load. The Ozdowski brand hardens pins, rollers and plates individually, before the links are assembled into a complete chain - as a result, our chains are approx. 20% stronger than the standard requires and therefore more durable and robust when working under load.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose the right roller chain for an industrial drive?

The key is to determine three parameters: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 12B these are 19.05 mm, 11.68 mm and 12.07 mm respectively. In addition, operating conditions should be taken into account: load, rotational speed and environment (dust, moisture), in order to select the right version.

What are the most common causes of chain breakage in machines?

In most cases it is not a material defect but operating errors: running without lubrication, worn sprockets or overloading the drive beyond the permissible chain parameters.

How often should chain tension in a drive be checked?

The first tension check should be carried out after the first 50 operating hours (running-in period), and then regularly - once a month or in line with the machine's inspection schedule.

When should automatic tensioners be used, and when fixed chain guides?

Automatic (spring-loaded) tensioners work well in drives with variable loads and high speeds, whereas fixed plastic chain guides are most often used in drives with a stable, repetitive duty cycle.

Where is this product used?

Applications include drives in industrial automation lines, agricultural machinery, dispensers and conveyors, as well as other production equipment requiring durable and precise power transmission.
