Leaf chains (Fleyer) AL, BL, LL

Leaf chains, known as Fleyer chains, consist solely of packs of plates connected by pins - with no bushes or rollers. They work as load-bearing tension members guided over sheaves: in forklift masts, lifts, presses and hoisting equipment.

Fleyer leaf chains - very high tensile forces with a compact design

A pack of many plates carries very high tensile forces with a compact design. Series designations are standardised, so you can replace a worn chain in a forklift with an equivalent without looking for a part from the machine manufacturer - just read the symbol from the plates. You choose a chain with exactly the pitch and plate arrangement that the equipment requires, and therefore with the right load capacity.

AL and BL leaf chains to ANSI B29.8, LL to ISO 4347, and LH

AL (light) and BL (heavy) series leaf chains to the ANSI standard and LL series chains to ISO 4347, as well as LH chains. The first digits of the designation indicate the pitch, and the last two the plate arrangement, e.g. BL634 has a 3x4 arrangement.
