Product Description
Roller chain C2060 stainless
The stainless C2060-1 chain is a simplex chain with an extended (double) pitch 38.1 mm, designed for slow-running conveyors operating in a corrosive environment. Flat, non-profiled side plate (straight plate) provides a continuous, smooth link surface, typical of double-pitch chains. Manufactured in accordance with the standard ANSI/ASME B29.100 for double-pitch chains; as a Polish manufacturer, we retain the same roller and pin dimensions as in the corresponding standard-pitch chain. Ozdowski chains withstand loads approx. 20% higher than the standard minimum - this is the result of individual hardening of each component (pin, roller, plate) before the chain is assembled.

Frequently asked questions
How do you select a stainless C2060 chain for a drive or conveyor?
Three parameters are key: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for C2060 these are 38.1 mm, 12.57 mm and 11.91 mm respectively. In addition, in a corrosive environment it is worth assessing whether standard stainless steel is sufficient or whether the acid-resistant 316L version is needed.
Why are extended (double) pitch chains used instead of ordinary single-pitch chains?
For the same conveyor length, the chain has half as many links, pins and rollers as the single-pitch version, which reduces cost and weight - worthwhile in slow-running drives where the high pitch precision typical of high-speed transmissions is not required.
Does a chain with extended (double) pitch fit standard sprockets?
No - it requires a sprocket designed for double pitch (every second tooth engaged). It must not be confused or interchanged with a standard-pitch chain of the same base designation.
What is a straight plate and what advantage does it offer in this chain?
A straight (non-profiled) plate has a continuous, flat side edge - unlike the profiled (waisted) plate of standard-pitch chains. This design is typical of double-pitch chains and performs well in accumulation conveyors and packaging lines, where a smooth, repeatable link geometry matters at lower operating speeds.
What grade of steel is the stainless chain in this version made of?
The standard stainless version is made of chromium-nickel steel (type 304) containing approx. 18% chromium and 8-10% nickel. It performs well in humid conditions and in the food and pharmaceutical industries, where carbon steel would corrode.
Where is this product used?
Typical applications are transport conveyors and lower-speed packaging lines, where the smaller number of links over a given length reduces the cost and weight of the drive - in the stainless version also used in washers and dryers.
