Frequently asked questions

Which leaf chain has a pitch of 15.875 mm, 6x6 plate lacing and a pin of 5.08 mm?

It is the leaf chain AL566. If the measured chain has these dimensions, the matching product in the Ozdowski range is: leaf chain AL566, plate lacing 6x6.

Does a leaf chain work with sprockets?

No. A leaf chain has no rollers, so it runs over guide rollers or sheaves rather than sprockets.

How do I check leaf chain wear?

Measure the elongation of the chain over several pitches and compare it with the nominal length. If the elongation reaches approx. 3%, or if there are cracked or deformed plates or play on the pins, the chain must be replaced.

What does the lead time depend on?

When ordering, please check the current stock level of this chain - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
