Product Description
Roller chain 24A-2
The 24A-2 chain is a duplex replacement for drives built to the American inch system - designation ANSI 120, pitch 38.1 mm. Every unit in this series meets the requirements of the standard ANSI B29.1; production includes individual hardening of the pin, roller and plate, which we, as a Polish manufacturer, regard as the basis of durability. In Ozdowski chains, each component is hardened separately before being assembled into a finished link - which is why their actual strength exceeds the requirements of the standard by about 20%, meaning greater durability and resistance to breaking.

Frequently asked questions
How do you choose the correct ANSI roller chain pitch for a drive?
Three parameters determine the correct selection: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 24A (ANSI 120) they are 38.1 mm, 25.22 mm and 22.23 mm respectively. It is also worth considering the load, rotational speed and operating environment (dust, moisture) in order to choose the right version.
What is the purpose of the duplex design in a roller chain?
A duplex chain consists of two parallel rows of links mounted on common pins. This design is chosen when the installation space does not allow a sprocket with a larger pitch and the drive has to transmit a higher torque than the simplex version.
What corrosion protection do standard roller chains have?
Even the basic industrial version of the chain is factory-lubricated, which provides temporary protection against corrosion. Variants with an additional surface finish of the plates are also available if the operating conditions require it.
Does a roller chain really "stretch" during operation?
Not in the sense of the metal stretching - it is increasing play caused by wear of the pins and working bushes. Regular lubrication and precise fitting of the components significantly limit this phenomenon.
Where is this product used?
Used in grain elevators, bulk material conveyors and heavier agricultural and construction machinery.
