Product Description
Roller chain 20B-2
Roller chain 20B-2 ensures reliable torque transmission in industrial drives - pitch 31.75 mm, duplex version. As a European manufacturer, we ensure a precise fit of the pin in the bush, which limits the development of play and extends chain service life. In Ozdowski chains, each component is hardened separately before being assembled into a finished link - which is why their actual strength exceeds the requirements of the standard by about 20%, meaning greater durability and resistance to breaking.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the right roller chain for an industrial drive?
The key is to determine three parameters: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 20B these are 31.75 mm, 19.56 mm and 19.05 mm respectively. In addition, operating conditions should be taken into account: load, rotational speed and environment (dust, moisture), in order to select the right version.
What is a duplex chain and when is it used?
A duplex chain is a design consisting of two parallel rows of links connected by common pins. It is used where the space for sprockets is limited (a wider sprocket with a larger pitch cannot be used) and the drive must transmit a higher torque than in the simplex version.
When should an offset link (half link) be used in a chain drive?
An offset link is used only when the chain length requires an odd number of links. Bear in mind that fitting an offset link slightly weakens the chain, so it is better to choose a length that avoids it.
Are the chain plates additionally protected against corrosion?
Depending on the selected version, the links may have blackened, phosphated, nickel-plated or galvanised plates. Even in the basic industrial version, the links are factory-lubricated, which provides additional temporary protection against corrosion.
Where is this product used?
The chain is suitable for drives in the processing and food industries, in sorting facilities and warehouses (pallet and roller conveyors), and also as a replacement part in existing chain drives of the same pitch.
