Product Description
Roller chain 20B-1
Roller chain 20B-1 (simplex, pitch 31.75 mm) is a drive component used where durability and dimensional repeatability matter. Manufactured in accordance with DIN 8187 / ISO 606; as a Polish manufacturer, we guarantee full dimensional compatibility with sprockets made to the same standard. In Ozdowski chains, each component is hardened separately before being assembled into a finished link - which is why their actual strength exceeds the requirements of the standard by about 20%, meaning greater durability and resistance to breaking.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the right roller chain for an industrial drive?
The key is to determine three parameters: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 20B these are 31.75 mm, 19.56 mm and 19.05 mm respectively. In addition, operating conditions should be taken into account: load, rotational speed and environment (dust, moisture), in order to select the right version.
What are the most common causes of chain breakage in machines?
In most cases it is not a material defect but operating errors: running without lubrication, worn sprockets or overloading the drive beyond the permissible chain parameters.
Are the chain plates additionally protected against corrosion?
Depending on the selected version, the links may have blackened, phosphated, nickel-plated or galvanised plates. Even in the basic industrial version, the links are factory-lubricated, which provides additional temporary protection against corrosion.
How often should chain tension in a drive be checked?
The first tension check should be carried out after the first 50 operating hours (running-in period), and then regularly - once a month or in line with the machine's inspection schedule.
Where is this product used?
The chain is suitable for drives in the processing and food industries, in sorting facilities and warehouses (pallet and roller conveyors), and also as a replacement part in existing chain drives of the same pitch.
