Roller chain 16BX-1

The 16BX chain is a simplex roller chain from the Ozdowski range, used as a drive component in mechanical systems and production lines. As a European manufacturer, we ensure a precise fit of the pin in the bush, which limits the development of play and extends chain service life. The Ozdowski brand hardens pins, rollers and plates individually, before the links are assembled into a complete chain - as a result, our chains are approx. 20% stronger than the standard requires and therefore more durable and robust when working under load.

How do I choose the right roller chain for an industrial drive?

The key is to determine three parameters: the pitch, inner width and roller diameter specific to the 16BX designation. In addition, operating conditions should be taken into account: load, rotational speed and environment (dust, moisture), in order to select the right version.

Why does hardening each component (pin, roller, plate) before assembly increase chain service life?

Many low-cost suppliers harden the chain only after assembly, which causes uneven hardening and brittle links. Separate hardening of the pin, roller and plate provides uniform hardness and less wear during operation.

Do roller chains from the Ozdowski range comply with DIN 8187?

Yes. Our chains fully comply with the stringent European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, which ensures a correct fit with sprockets made to the same standard.

How does lateral runout of the sprockets affect roller chain durability?

Misalignment of the sprockets causes the chain to jerk alternately from side to side. The inner surfaces of the plates then wear, and the pins are subjected to damaging bending forces.
