Product Description
Roller chain 16B-1 with attachment K1 fi=9
Roller chain 16B-1 (simplex, pitch 25.4 mm) is a drive component used where durability and dimensional repeatability matter. Manufactured in accordance with DIN 8187 / ISO 606; as a European manufacturer, we guarantee full dimensional compatibility with sprockets made to the same standard. A K-1 attachment is mounted on selected outer links - an L-shaped bent plate used to fix flights, dividers or other working elements of the conveyor. In this version the attachment mounting hole has a non-standard diameter of fi 9 mm (differing from the catalogue value d for this pitch) - matched to a specific mounting stud or pin. Ozdowski chains withstand loads approx. 20% higher than the standard minimum - this is the result of individual hardening of each component (pin, roller, plate) before the chain is assembled.

Frequently asked questions
How do I select the right roller chain with attachment for an industrial drive?
The key is to determine three parameters of the chain itself: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 16B these are 25.4 mm, 17.02 mm and 15.88 mm respectively. In addition, the type and spacing of the attachments must be matched to the machine design.
What is a K-1 attachment and what is it used for?
The K-1 attachment is a bent attachment with two mounting holes, positioned centrally on the link. It is mounted on selected links of the 16B chain to fix conveyed elements, flights, dividers or other working elements to the drive - the exact spacing of the attachments must be matched to the machine design.
What is the difference between a bent and an upright attachment?
The bent attachment (designations without the letter S, e.g. A-1, K-1, WA-2, WK-2) has a plate bent into an L shape and fixed to the side of the chain, close to its axis. The upright attachment (with the letter S, e.g. SA-1, SK-1, WSA-2, WSK-2) has a plate mounted perpendicularly, projecting upwards from the chain. The choice depends on how the flight, divider or other element is fixed in the specific machine.
How do you calculate the required roller chain length for a machine?
In practice, the easiest way is to count the number of links in the old chain (remembering to include the connecting link). Always buy a chain with an even number of links so that it can be closed with a standard connecting link.
Where is this product used?
The 16B chain with K-1 attachment is used in conveyors, feeders and transport lines where a flight, divider or other working element fixed to the attachment moves or lifts the conveyed goods. Typical applications include packaging lines, sorting machines and conveyors in the food industry and agricultural machinery.
