Product Description
Roller chain 16B-1 with attachment K1
Roller chain 16B-1 is a simplex chain with a pitch of 25.4 mm, used as a basic drive element in mechanical engineering. Manufactured in accordance with DIN 8187 / ISO 606; as a Polish manufacturer, we guarantee full dimensional compatibility with sprockets made to the same standard. The chain is fitted with a bent K-1 type attachment (carrier), mounted on selected outer links and used for fastening conveyed or driving elements. In Ozdowski chains, each component is hardened separately before being assembled into a finished link - which is why their actual strength exceeds the requirements of the standard by about 20%, meaning greater durability and resistance to breaking.

Frequently asked questions
How do I select the right roller chain with attachment for an industrial drive?
The key is to determine three parameters of the chain itself: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 16B these are 25.4 mm, 17.02 mm and 15.88 mm respectively. In addition, the type and spacing of the attachments must be matched to the machine design.
What is a K-1 attachment and what is it used for?
The K-1 attachment is a bent attachment with two mounting holes, positioned centrally on the link. It is mounted on selected links of the 16B chain to fix conveyed elements, flights, dividers or other working elements to the drive - the exact spacing of the attachments must be matched to the machine design.
What is the difference between a bent and an upright attachment?
The bent attachment (designations without the letter S, e.g. A-1, K-1, WA-2, WK-2) has a plate bent into an L shape and fixed to the side of the chain, close to its axis. The upright attachment (with the letter S, e.g. SA-1, SK-1, WSA-2, WSK-2) has a plate mounted perpendicularly, projecting upwards from the chain. The choice depends on how the flight, divider or other element is fixed in the specific machine.
What loads can OZD roller chains withstand?
Thanks to separate hardening of the components, the chains cope well with sudden load changes - the elastic core of the plates and pins acts as a buffer, absorbing the energy of jerks without damaging the links.
Where is this product used?
The 16B chain with K-1 attachment is used in conveyors, feeders and transport lines where a flight, divider or other working element fixed to the attachment moves or lifts the conveyed goods. Typical applications include packaging lines, sorting machines and conveyors in the food industry and agricultural machinery.
