Product Description
Roller chain 16B-1 with attachment A-1 every 3 pitches
Chain 16B-1 (simplex) is a proven solution for power transmission in mechanical systems, made with a pitch of 25.4 mm. As a Polish manufacturer, we ensure a precise fit of the pin in the bush, which limits the development of play and extends chain service life. The chain is equipped with a bent type A-1 attachment (flight), fitted to selected outer links and used to mount conveyed or driving elements. The attachment is fitted at intervals of every 3 chain pitches. In Ozdowski chains, each component is hardened separately before being assembled into a finished link - which is why their actual strength exceeds the requirements of the standard by about 20%, meaning greater durability and resistance to breaking.

Frequently asked questions
How do I select the right roller chain with attachment for an industrial drive?
The key is to determine three parameters of the chain itself: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 16B these are 25.4 mm, 17.02 mm and 15.88 mm respectively. In addition, the type and spacing of the attachments must be matched to the machine design.
What is an A-1 attachment and what is it used for?
The A-1 attachment is a single-sided bent attachment with one mounting hole, offset to the side of the link. It is mounted on selected links of the 16B chain to fix conveyed elements, flights, dividers or other working elements to the drive - the exact spacing of the attachments must be matched to the machine design.
What is the difference between a bent and an upright attachment?
The bent attachment (designations without the letter S, e.g. A-1, K-1, WA-2, WK-2) has a plate bent into an L shape and fixed to the side of the chain, close to its axis. The upright attachment (with the letter S, e.g. SA-1, SK-1, WSA-2, WSK-2) has a plate mounted perpendicularly, projecting upwards from the chain. The choice depends on how the flight, divider or other element is fixed in the specific machine.
Why does hardening each component (pin, roller, plate) before assembly increase chain service life?
Many low-cost suppliers harden the chain only after assembly, which causes uneven hardening and brittle links. Separate hardening of the pin, roller and plate provides uniform hardness and less wear during operation.
Where is this product used?
Chain 16B with A-1 attachment is used in conveyors, feeders and transport lines, where a flight, partition or other working element mounted on the attachment pushes or lifts the conveyed goods. Typical applications include packaging lines, sorting machines and conveyors in the food industry and agricultural machinery.
