The roller chain 12B-2 is a duplex chain with a pitch of 19.05 mm, used as a basic drive element in mechanical engineering. Pins, rollers and plates are hardened separately before assembly - as a Polish manufacturer we treat this as standard, which means the chain retains its original dimensions for a long time and does not "stretch" under load. Ozdowski chains withstand loads approx. 20% higher than the standard minimum - this is the result of individual hardening of each component (pin, roller, plate) before the chain is assembled.

How do I choose the right roller chain for an industrial drive?

The key is to determine three parameters: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 12B these are 19.05 mm, 11.68 mm and 12.07 mm respectively. In addition, operating conditions should be taken into account: load, rotational speed and environment (dust, moisture), in order to select the right version.

What is a duplex chain and when is it used?

A duplex chain is a design consisting of two parallel rows of links connected by common pins. It is used where the space for sprockets is limited (a wider sprocket with a larger pitch cannot be used) and the drive must transmit a higher torque than in the simplex version.

How can you tell that a roller chain needs replacing?

The key sign is chain elongation exceeding approximately 2-3% of its original length. Other symptoms include cracked rollers, visible rust on the pins and uneven running on the sprockets.

Where is this product used?

The chain is suitable for drives in the processing and food industries, in sorting facilities and warehouses (pallet and roller conveyors), and also as a replacement part in existing chain drives of the same pitch.
