Product Description
Roller chain 12A-1 (60-1)
12A-1, known in the ANSI system as number 60, is a simplex roller chain with a pitch of 19.05 mm, used in drives designed to the American standard. As a European manufacturer, we focus on a precise fit of the pin in the bush, so the chain retains its original dimensions under load for a long time. Ozdowski chains withstand loads approx. 20% higher than the standard minimum - this is the result of individual hardening of each component (pin, roller, plate) before the chain is assembled.

Frequently asked questions
How do you choose the correct ANSI roller chain pitch for a drive?
Three parameters determine the correct selection: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 12A (ANSI 60) they are 19.05 mm, 12.57 mm and 11.91 mm respectively. It is also worth considering the load, rotational speed and operating environment (dust, moisture) in order to choose the right version.
How does the A series (ANSI) differ from the European B series (DIN/ISO) in the same "range" of pitch?
The two series have different proportions between pitch, roller diameter and inner width, as well as a different designation system (e.g. 08A versus 08B) - despite the similar pitch, components of the two series are not interchangeable and should not be mixed in one drive.
What is behind the high durability of Ozdowski roller chains?
Each pin, roller and plate is hardened separately before the link is assembled - as a result, the hardness is uniform along the entire length of the component and not only on the surface, as is sometimes the case when an already assembled chain is hardened.
Does pin hardness affect how long the chain retains its dimensions?
Yes - it is precisely at the contact between the pin and the bush that the greatest friction occurs during operation. A precisely hardened pin wears more slowly, which limits the build-up of play between links during service.
Where is this product used?
It is used in pick-up mechanisms of agricultural balers, spreaders and combine harvester discharge systems.
