Product Description
Roller chain 10B-2 with WK2 attachment
The roller chain 10B-2 is a duplex chain with a pitch of 15.875 mm, used as a basic drive element in mechanical engineering. Pins, rollers and plates are hardened separately before assembly - as a European manufacturer, we treat this as standard, so the chain retains its original dimensions for a long time and does not "stretch" under load. The chain is fitted with a bent WK-2 type attachment (carrier), mounted on selected outer links and used for fastening conveyed or driving elements. Thanks to hardening each component separately, even before the whole chain is assembled, Ozdowski products achieve a breaking strength about 20% higher than the minimum values specified by the standard.

Frequently asked questions
How do I select the right roller chain with attachment for an industrial drive?
The key is to determine three parameters of the chain itself: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 10B these are 15.875 mm, 9.65 mm and 10.16 mm respectively. In addition, the type and spacing of the attachments must be matched to the machine design.
What is a WK-2 attachment and what is it used for?
The WK-2 attachment is a widened bent attachment with two mounting holes. It is mounted on selected links of the 10B chain to fix conveyed elements, flights, dividers or other working elements to the drive - the exact spacing of the attachments must be matched to the machine design.
What is the difference between a bent and an upright attachment?
The bent attachment (designations without the letter S, e.g. A-1, K-1, WA-2, WK-2) has a plate bent into an L shape and fixed to the side of the chain, close to its axis. The upright attachment (with the letter S, e.g. SA-1, SK-1, WSA-2, WSK-2) has a plate mounted perpendicularly, projecting upwards from the chain. The choice depends on how the flight, divider or other element is fixed in the specific machine.
What is the purpose of the duplex design in a roller chain?
A duplex chain consists of two parallel rows of links mounted on common pins. It is chosen when the installation space does not allow a sprocket with a larger pitch and the drive must transmit a higher torque than with the simplex version.
Where is this product used?
Chain 10B with WK-2 attachment is used in conveyors, feeders and transport lines, where a flight, partition or other working element mounted on the attachment pushes or lifts the conveyed goods. Typical applications include packaging lines, sorting machines and conveyors in the food industry and agricultural machinery.
