Product Description
The roller chain 10B-2 is a duplex chain with a pitch of 15.875 mm, used as a basic drive element in mechanical engineering. Pins, rollers and plates are hardened separately before assembly - as a European manufacturer, we treat this as standard, so the chain retains its original dimensions for a long time and does not "stretch" under load. The Ozdowski brand hardens pins, rollers and plates individually, before the links are assembled into a complete chain - as a result, our chains are approx. 20% stronger than the standard requires and therefore more durable and robust when working under load.

Typical applications include drives in the food industry (packaging lines, sorting machines), the packaging and automotive industries, as well as agricultural and construction machinery, where the chain works together with sprockets of the same pitch.
Frequently asked questions
Which chain has a pitch of 15.875 mm (5/8"), a roller of 10.16 mm and an inner width of 9.65 mm?
It is the 10B-2 roller chain according to DIN 8187 / ISO 606, double-strand (duplex). If the measured chain has these dimensions, the matching product in the Ozdowski range is: roller chain 10B-2, pitch 15.875 mm (5/8"), nickel-plated. The pitch is measured as the distance between the axes of adjacent pins.
How do I choose the right roller chain for an industrial drive?
The key is to determine three parameters: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 10B these are 15.875 mm, 9.65 mm and 10.16 mm respectively. In addition, operating conditions should be taken into account: load, rotational speed and environment (dust, moisture), in order to select the right version.
What is a duplex chain and when is it used?
A duplex chain is a design consisting of two parallel rows of links connected by common pins. It is used where the space for sprockets is limited (a wider sprocket with a larger pitch cannot be used) and the drive must transmit a higher torque than in the simplex version.
How does a nickel-plated chain differ from a standard one?
The passivated nickel coating replaces zinc plating - it is more visually appealing, has a characteristic yellowish-gold tint and allows a thicker coating than zinc plating, without changing the dimensions or strength of the chain compared with the standard version.
Are the chain plates additionally protected against corrosion?
Depending on the selected version, the links may have blackened, phosphated, nickel-plated or galvanised plates. Even in the basic industrial version, the links are factory-lubricated, which provides additional temporary protection against corrosion.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this chain - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
