Roller chain 10B-2

The roller chain 10B-2 is a duplex chain with a pitch of 15.875 mm, used as a basic drive element in mechanical engineering. The chain is manufactured in accordance with the standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606; each pin, roller and plate is hardened individually, which, as a Polish manufacturer, we consider key to durability. Ozdowski hardens each chain component individually before final assembly - thanks to this, our chains are more durable and stronger, with a strength reserve reaching approx. 20% above the requirements of the standard.

How do I choose the right roller chain for an industrial drive?

The key is to determine three parameters: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 10B these are 15.875 mm, 9.65 mm and 10.16 mm respectively. In addition, operating conditions should be taken into account: load, rotational speed and environment (dust, moisture), in order to select the right version.

What is a duplex chain and when is it used?

A duplex chain is a design consisting of two parallel rows of links connected by common pins. It is used where the space for sprockets is limited (a wider sprocket with a larger pitch cannot be used) and the drive must transmit a higher torque than in the simplex version.

How do you calculate the required roller chain length for a machine?

In practice, the easiest way is to count the number of links in the old chain (remembering to include the connecting link). Always buy a chain with an even number of links so that it can be closed with a standard connecting link.
