Product Description
Roller chain 10B-1 nickel-plated
Chain 10B-1 is a simplex roller chain compliant with the European dimensional standard, with a pitch of 15.875 mm. Compliance with standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606 guarantees correct interaction with sprockets from other manufacturers; as a Polish manufacturer, we also focus on separate hardening of every link component. In Ozdowski chains, each component is hardened separately before being assembled into a finished link - which is why their actual strength exceeds the requirements of the standard by about 20%, meaning greater durability and resistance to breaking.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the right roller chain for an industrial drive?
The key is to determine three parameters: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 10B these are 15.875 mm, 9.65 mm and 10.16 mm respectively. In addition, operating conditions should be taken into account: load, rotational speed and environment (dust, moisture), in order to select the right version.
How does a nickel-plated chain differ from a standard one?
The passivated nickel coating replaces zinc plating - it is more visually appealing, has a characteristic yellowish-gold tint and allows a thicker coating than zinc plating, without changing the dimensions or strength of the chain compared with the standard version.
Can a chain be ordered in a length other than a multiple of the pitch?
Yes - with an odd number of links, a half link (offset link) is used. However, bear in mind that fitting it slightly weakens the chain, so whenever possible it is better to choose a length with an even number of links.
Do chain guides extend the service life of roller chains?
Yes. A correctly mounted chain guide dampens vibrations, reduces noise and prevents chain whip, which is one of the more common causes of link breakage and premature wear.
Where is this product used?
The 10B-1 chain is used in drives of belt and roller conveyors, agricultural machinery (e.g. combine harvesters and round balers), production lines and packaging equipment, where reliable torque transmission is required.
