Product Description
Roller chain 08B-3 with attachment K1
Roller chain 08B-3 is a triplex chain with a pitch of 12.7 mm, used as a basic drive element in mechanical engineering. Pins, rollers and plates are hardened separately before assembly - as a Polish manufacturer we treat this as standard, which means the chain retains its original dimensions for a long time and does not "stretch" under load. A K-1 attachment is mounted on selected outer links - an L-shaped bent plate used to fix flights, dividers or other working elements of the conveyor. Thanks to hardening each component separately, even before the whole chain is assembled, Ozdowski products achieve a breaking strength about 20% higher than the minimum values specified by the standard.

Frequently asked questions
How do I select the right roller chain with attachment for an industrial drive?
The key is to determine three parameters of the chain itself: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 08B these are 12.7 mm, 7.75 mm and 8.51 mm respectively. In addition, the type and spacing of the attachments must be matched to the machine design.
What is a K-1 attachment and what is it used for?
The K-1 attachment is a bent attachment with two mounting holes, positioned centrally on the link. It is mounted on selected links of the 08B chain to fix conveyed elements, flights, dividers or other working elements to the drive - the exact spacing of the attachments must be matched to the machine design.
What is the difference between a bent and an upright attachment?
The bent attachment (designations without the letter S, e.g. A-1, K-1, WA-2, WK-2) has a plate bent into an L shape and fixed to the side of the chain, close to its axis. The upright attachment (with the letter S, e.g. SA-1, SK-1, WSA-2, WSK-2) has a plate mounted perpendicularly, projecting upwards from the chain. The choice depends on how the flight, divider or other element is fixed in the specific machine.
What is the triplex design of a roller chain used for?
A triplex chain consists of three parallel rows of links mounted on common pins. It is chosen when the installation space does not allow a sprocket with a larger pitch and the drive must transmit a higher torque than with the simplex version.
Where is this product used?
The 08B chain with K-1 attachment is used in conveyors, feeders and transport lines where a flight, divider or other working element fixed to the attachment moves or lifts the conveyed goods. Typical applications include packaging lines, sorting machines and conveyors in the food industry and agricultural machinery.
