The 08B-3 chain is a triplex roller chain conforming to the European dimensional standard, with a pitch of 12.7 mm. As a Polish manufacturer, we ensure a precise fit of the pin in the bush, which limits the development of play and extends chain service life. Ozdowski chains withstand loads approx. 20% higher than the standard minimum - this is the result of individual hardening of each component (pin, roller, plate) before the chain is assembled.

How do I choose the right roller chain for an industrial drive?

The key is to determine three parameters: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 08B these are 12.7 mm, 7.75 mm and 8.51 mm respectively. In addition, operating conditions should be taken into account: load, rotational speed and environment (dust, moisture), in order to select the right version.

What is a triplex chain and when is it used?

A triplex chain is a design consisting of three parallel rows of links connected by common pins. It is used where the space for sprockets is limited (a wider sprocket with a larger pitch cannot be used) and the drive must transmit a higher torque than in the simplex version.

What should roller chains operating at high temperatures be lubricated with?

Standard grease will quickly run off or carbonise at high temperature. In such conditions, dedicated synthetic oils with added graphite or molybdenum disulphide (MoS2) perform better.

When should an offset link (half link) be used in a chain drive?

An offset link is used only when the chain length requires an odd number of links. Bear in mind that fitting an offset link slightly weakens the chain, so it is better to choose a length that avoids it.

Where is this product used?

The 08B-3 chain is used in drives of belt and roller conveyors, agricultural machinery (e.g. combine harvesters and round balers), production lines and packaging equipment, where reliable torque transmission is required.
