Product Description

Roller chain 08B-1

Chain 08B-1 is an industrial-grade simplex roller chain with a pitch of 12.7 mm, designed for use in drives of machines and production equipment. Compliance with standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606 guarantees correct interaction with sprockets from other manufacturers; as a European manufacturer, we also rely on separate hardening of each link component. Ozdowski brand chains offer strength up to 20% higher than the standard requires - each component (pin, roller, plate) is hardened individually before the chain is assembled, which translates into greater durability and resistance to elongation.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose the right roller chain for an industrial drive?

The key is to determine three parameters: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 08B these are 12.7 mm, 7.75 mm and 8.51 mm respectively. In addition, operating conditions should be taken into account: load, rotational speed and environment (dust, moisture), in order to select the right version.

How often should chain tension in a drive be checked?

The first tension check should be carried out after the first 50 operating hours (running-in period), and then regularly - once a month or in line with the machine's inspection schedule.

Why does "dry" running shorten the service life of rollers and pins?

Lubrication reduces metal-to-metal friction in the joints and dissipates heat. Running without lubricant leads to micro-seizures and faster heating of the pins, which accelerates link wear.

Which connecting link (clip) fits this chain?

The chain should be fitted with a connecting link of the same pitch, preferably from the same manufacturer - manufacturing tolerances differ between manufacturers and affect how the joint performs.

Where is this product used?

Applications include drives in industrial automation lines, agricultural machinery, dispensers and conveyors, as well as other production equipment requiring durable and precise power transmission.
