Product Description

Roller chain 084

Chain 084 is a simplex roller chain from the Ozdowski range, used as a drive element in mechanical systems and production lines. Pins, rollers and plates are hardened separately before assembly - as a Polish manufacturer we treat this as standard, which means the chain retains its original dimensions for a long time and does not "stretch" under load. Thanks to hardening each component separately, even before the whole chain is assembled, Ozdowski products achieve a breaking strength about 20% higher than the minimum values specified by the standard.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose the right roller chain for an industrial drive?

It is essential to determine three parameters: the pitch, inner width and roller diameter corresponding to the designation 084. In addition, operating conditions should be taken into account: load, rotational speed and environment (dust, moisture), in order to select the right version.

Do roller chains from the Ozdowski range comply with DIN 8187?

Yes. Our chains fully comply with the stringent European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, which ensures a correct fit with sprockets made to the same standard.

Why is correct chain tension crucial for its service life?

A chain that is too slack starts to vibrate (so-called whipping), causing the rollers to strike the sprocket teeth. Excessive tension, on the other hand, overloads the shaft bearings and accelerates pin wear.

How often should chain tension in a drive be checked?

The first tension check should be carried out after the first 50 operating hours (running-in period), and then regularly - once a month or in line with the machine's inspection schedule.

Where is this product used?

The chain is suitable for drives in the processing and food industries, in sorting facilities and warehouses (pallet and roller conveyors), and also as a replacement part in existing chain drives of the same pitch.
