Chain 083 (simplex) is a roller chain used in drives of industrial machines and equipment, wherever reliable torque transmission is required. As a Polish manufacturer, we ensure a precise fit of the pin in the bush, which limits the development of play and extends chain service life. The Ozdowski brand hardens pins, rollers and plates individually, before the links are assembled into a complete chain - as a result, our chains are approx. 20% stronger than the standard requires and therefore more durable and robust when working under load.

How do I choose the right roller chain for an industrial drive?

It is essential to determine three parameters: the pitch, inner width and roller diameter corresponding to the designation 083. In addition, operating conditions should be taken into account: load, rotational speed and environment (dust, moisture), in order to select the right version.

How do you calculate the required roller chain length for a machine?

In practice, the easiest way is to count the number of links in the old chain (remembering to include the connecting link). Always buy a chain with an even number of links so that it can be closed with a standard connecting link.

Does this chain fit sprockets from other manufacturers?

Yes - provided the sprocket is made to the same standard (DIN 8187 / ISO 606) and has the same pitch, it will work correctly with the chain regardless of the sprocket manufacturer.

How does the hardness of the pin and roller affect the chain's resistance to elongation?

The pin and roller are the components subject to the greatest friction. A precisely machined, hard pin wears more slowly, which limits the build-up of play in the links and the "stretching" of the chain over time.
