Chain 06B-1 is a simplex roller chain compliant with the European dimensional standard, with a pitch of 9.53 mm. As a European manufacturer, we ensure a precise fit of the pin in the bush, which limits the development of play and extends chain service life. A K-1 attachment is mounted on selected outer links - an L-shaped bent plate used to fix flights, dividers or other working elements of the conveyor. Ozdowski hardens each chain component individually before final assembly - thanks to this, our chains are more durable and stronger, with a strength reserve reaching approx. 20% above the requirements of the standard.

What is a K-1 attachment and what is it used for?

The K-1 attachment is a bent attachment with two mounting holes, positioned centrally on the link. It is mounted on selected links of the 06B chain to fix conveyed elements, flights, dividers or other working elements to the drive - the exact spacing of the attachments must be matched to the machine design.

What is the difference between a bent and an upright attachment?

The bent attachment (designations without the letter S, e.g. A-1, K-1, WA-2, WK-2) has a plate bent into an L shape and fixed to the side of the chain, close to its axis. The upright attachment (with the letter S, e.g. SA-1, SK-1, WSA-2, WSK-2) has a plate mounted perpendicularly, projecting upwards from the chain. The choice depends on how the flight, divider or other element is fixed in the specific machine.

Can a chain be ordered in a length other than a multiple of the pitch?

Yes - with an odd number of links, a half link (offset link) is used. However, bear in mind that fitting it slightly weakens the chain, so whenever possible it is better to choose a length with an even number of links.
