Product Description
Roller chain 06B-1 nickel-plated
Chain 06B-1 is an industrial-grade simplex roller chain with a pitch of 9.53 mm, designed for use in drives of machines and production equipment. Manufactured in accordance with DIN 8187 / ISO 606; as a Polish manufacturer, we guarantee full dimensional compatibility with sprockets made to the same standard. The Ozdowski brand hardens pins, rollers and plates individually, before the links are assembled into a complete chain - as a result, our chains are approx. 20% stronger than the standard requires and therefore more durable and robust when working under load.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the right roller chain for an industrial drive?
The key is to determine three parameters: pitch, inner width and roller diameter - for 06B these are 9.53 mm, 5.72 mm and 6.35 mm respectively. In addition, operating conditions should be taken into account: load, rotational speed and environment (dust, moisture), in order to select the right version.
How does a nickel-plated chain differ from a standard one?
The passivated nickel coating replaces zinc plating - it is more visually appealing, has a characteristic yellowish-gold tint and allows a thicker coating than zinc plating, without changing the dimensions or strength of the chain compared with the standard version.
Why is it not advisable to break a chain with a hammer and punch?
Hammer blows generate uncontrolled forces that can damage the fit of the pin in the plate of the adjacent link, and a ricocheting punch can be dangerous and may damage the roller surface.
When should an offset link (half link) be used in a chain drive?
An offset link is used only when the chain length requires an odd number of links. Bear in mind that fitting an offset link slightly weakens the chain, so it is better to choose a length that avoids it.
Where is this product used?
The chain is used in production machine drives, transport conveyors, industrial mills and mixers, sorting lines and in maintenance as a replacement part for existing chain drives.
