Product Description
Sprocket 10B-1 z=45 for Taper-Lock bush 2012, C45 steel fits 10B-1 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), single-strand (simplex), with a pitch of 15.875 mm (5/8"). It has 45 teeth and is made of C45 steel.
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 2012 clamping bush, so it can be mounted on the shaft without boring the hole or cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a 2012 bush with a bore that matches the shaft. Frequently asked questions
Which chain does this sprocket fit?
10B-1 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 15.875 mm. A simplex sprocket requires a single-strand (simplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 50 chain?
No. ASA 50 chain (American standard) has the same pitch and roller diameter, but a different inner width (9.52 mm instead of 9.65 mm). The 10B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
Does the bush connection need to be checked during operation?
Yes. After the first period of operation, and later during inspections, it is worth checking that the bush screws are tight. In drives operating at higher temperatures, a check after the first warm-up is especially important.
Can a Taper-Lock bush be reused?
Yes, if it has not been mechanically damaged. Easy dismounting and remounting is one of the main advantages of this system.
How do I check the pitch of a sprocket?
The sprocket pitch matches the chain pitch - it is the distance between the centres of adjacent teeth measured on the pitch circle. The easiest way to check it is to place a section of matching chain on the sprocket: it should sit on the teeth without tension. This sprocket has a pitch of 15.875 mm (5/8").
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
