12B (3/4") Taper-Lock sprockets

12B Taper-Lock sprockets work with 12B roller chain of 3/4" (19.05 mm) pitch to DIN 8187 / ISO 606. This is a size for more heavily loaded drives in agricultural and construction machinery and conveyors.

12B Taper-Lock sprockets - a large sprocket with no machining and no puller

The larger the sprocket, the harder it is to machine and remove from the shaft - the Taper-Lock seat eliminates both problems. You mount the sprocket with a bush bored for your shaft and remove it without a puller. Hardened teeth are available in all strand versions, and large driven sprockets are also offered in grey cast iron, which is rigid and dampens vibration.

Steel or cast iron sprocket?

For a driving sprocket and heavily loaded ones choose steel, preferably with hardened teeth. Large driven sprockets can be cast iron - they are rigid and dampen vibration well.

Are Taper-Lock bushes from different manufacturers interchangeable?

Yes. Taper-Lock is a standardised system, so a bush of the same size fits the sprocket seat regardless of the manufacturer.
