Sprocket 10B-1 z=24 for Taper-Lock bush 2012, C45 steel, hardened works with 10B-1 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), single-strand (simplex), with a pitch of 15.875 mm (5/8"). It has 24 teeth and is made of C45 steel. The teeth are induction hardened, which increases their abrasion resistance.

The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 2012 clamping bush, so it can be mounted on the shaft without boring the hole or cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a 2012 bush with a bore that matches the shaft. The bush is not included - the 2012 bush can be purchased separately from our range.

10B-1 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 15.875 mm. A simplex sprocket requires a single-strand (simplex) chain.

Does it fit ASA 50 chain?

No. ASA 50 chain (American standard) has the same pitch and roller diameter, but a different inner width (9.52 mm instead of 9.65 mm). The 10B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.

Is this sprocket available in another version?

Can the bush taper be greased before mounting?

No. The bush works by friction, and grease on the tapered surfaces can cause the bush to be drawn in too deep and crack the sprocket hub. The tapered surfaces must be degreased before mounting.

How do I remove a sprocket with a Taper-Lock bush?

Remove the mounting screws and screw one of them into the free dismounting hole. The screw then acts as a puller and pushes the bush out of the sprocket seat.
