Product Description
Sprocket 06B-1 z=17 for Taper-Lock bush 1008 with recess is designed for 06B-1 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), single-strand (simplex), with a pitch of 9.525 mm (3/8"). It has 17 teeth and is made of C45 steel.
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 1008 clamping bush, so it can be mounted on the shaft without boring the hole or cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a 1008 bush with a bore that matches the shaft. The hub diameter is 45 mm and the total width of the sprocket is 22 mm. The hub has a recess. The bush is not included - the 1008 bush can be purchased separately from our range.

Frequently asked questions
Which chain does this sprocket fit?
06B-1 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 9.525 mm. A simplex sprocket requires a single-strand (simplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 35 chain?
No. ASA 35 chain (American standard) has the same pitch, but a different roller diameter (5.08 mm instead of 6.35 mm) and a different inner width (4.77 mm instead of 5.72 mm). The 06B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
Is this sprocket available in another version?
Yes. Also available: Sprocket 06B-1 z=17 for Taper-Lock bush 1008 hardened.
Can a new chain be fitted on a worn sprocket?
This should not be done. A worn sprocket has a changed tooth profile, so a new chain runs unevenly and elongates quickly. The rule is: new chain - new sprockets.
When is a sprocket for a Taper-Lock bush the right choice?
Wherever quick mounting and replacement matter. The clamping bush eliminates boring the hole and cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a bush with a bore that matches the shaft, seat it in the sprocket and tighten the screws.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
