Product Description
Sprocket 24B-1 z=57 for Taper-Lock bush 3030, cast iron is designed for 24B-1 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), single-strand (simplex), with a pitch of 38.1 mm (1 1/2"). It has 57 teeth and is made of EN-GJL-250 cast iron.
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 3030 clamping bush, so it can be mounted on the shaft without boring the hole or cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a 3030 bush with a bore that matches the shaft. The hub diameter is 160 mm and the total width of the sprocket is 76 mm. The bush is not included - the 3030 bush can be purchased separately from our range.

Applications
It is used in sawmills, cement plants and bulk material handling lines. The cast iron design works well for large sprockets in reduction gears, where rigidity and vibration damping matter.
Frequently asked questions
Which chain does this sprocket fit?
24B-1 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 38.1 mm. A simplex sprocket requires a single-strand (simplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 120 chain?
No. ASA 120 chain (American standard) has the same pitch, but a different roller diameter (22.22 mm instead of 25.4 mm). The 24B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
Is this sprocket available in another version?
Yes. Also available: Sprocket 24B-1 z=57 for Taper-Lock bush 4545 hardened.
How is the pitch diameter of a sprocket calculated?
The pitch diameter Dp is the circle along which the chain rollers travel. It is calculated with the formula: pitch divided by the sine of (180° / number of teeth). For this sprocket it is 691.63 mm, and the outside diameter De is 706.5 mm.
How does the number of teeth affect the drive ratio?
The ratio is the number of teeth of the driven wheel divided by the number of teeth of the driving wheel. If this sprocket drives a wheel with twice as many teeth, the driven shaft turns twice as slowly but with roughly twice the torque.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
