Product Description
Sprocket 12B-3 z=95 for Taper-Lock bush 3030, cast iron fits 12B-3 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), triple-strand (triplex), with a pitch of 19.05 mm (3/4"). It has 95 teeth and is made of EN-GJL-250 cast iron.
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 3030 clamping bush, so it can be mounted on the shaft without boring the hole or cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a 3030 bush with a bore that matches the shaft. The hub diameter is 160 mm and the total width of the sprocket is 76 mm. The bush is not included - the 3030 bush can be purchased separately from our range.

Applications
It is used in woodworking machinery, winches and internal transport equipment. The triple-strand version is chosen for very heavily loaded drives where there is no room for a chain with a larger pitch. The cast iron design works well for large sprockets in reduction gears, where rigidity and vibration damping matter.
Frequently asked questions
Which chain does this sprocket fit?
12B-3 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 19.05 mm. A triplex sprocket requires a triple-strand (triplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 60 chain?
No. ASA 60 chain (American standard) has the same pitch, but a different roller diameter (11.91 mm instead of 12.07 mm) and a different inner width (12.7 mm instead of 11.68 mm). The 12B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
How should sprockets be aligned during installation?
The driving and driven sprockets must lie in one plane. Alignment can be checked with a long steel straightedge placed against the sides of both wheels or with a laser alignment tool. Even a small misalignment wears the sides of the teeth and speeds up chain wear.
When does a sprocket need replacing?
When the teeth start to look like pointed shark fins or are clearly bent to one side. Running on such a profile quickly destroys even a new chain, so a worn sprocket must be replaced. Thanks to the Taper-Lock bush, replacement is quick.
Can a new chain be fitted on a worn sprocket?
This should not be done. A worn sprocket has a changed tooth profile, so a new chain runs unevenly and elongates quickly. The rule is: new chain - new sprockets.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
