Sprocket 10B-1 z=21 for Taper-Lock bush 1610 hardened is designed for 10B-1 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), single-strand (simplex), with a pitch of 15.875 mm (5/8"). It has 21 teeth and is made of C45 steel. The teeth are induction hardened, which increases their abrasion resistance.

The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 1610 clamping bush, so it can be mounted on the shaft without boring the hole or cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a 1610 bush with a bore that matches the shaft. The hub diameter is 76 mm and the total width of the sprocket is 25 mm. The bush is not included - the 1610 bush can be purchased separately from our range.

Does it fit ASA 50 chain?

No. ASA 50 chain (American standard) has the same pitch and roller diameter, but a different inner width (9.52 mm instead of 9.65 mm). The 10B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.

How can run-out be avoided after mounting the bush?

Cleanliness of the shaft, the bush and the sprocket seat is crucial. Even a small chip between the bush taper and the sprocket causes run-out, which accelerates wear of the chain and bearings.

Yes. After the first period of operation, and later during inspections, it is worth checking that the bush screws are tight. In drives operating at higher temperatures, a check after the first warm-up is especially important.
