Product Description
Sprocket 32B-3 z=25, with hub
Sprocket 32B-3, triplex (three-strand), with 25 teeth and a hub - pitch 2" (50.8 mm). Compliance with DIN 8187 / ISO 606 guarantees full interchangeability with a chain of the same pitch; the sprocket is made of C45E steel (EN 10083-1) in a non-hardened version - the standard choice for applications with moderate and medium load.

Frequently asked questions
What happens when a sprocket operates under a greater load than intended?
Overloading first accelerates normal tooth wear, and with sudden overloads (e.g. machine blockage) the teeth may become permanently bent or sheared. In such cases, using an overload clutch in the system is often a better solution than choosing an oversized sprocket "just in case".
How do I check the radial and axial runout of a sprocket after mounting it on the shaft?
A dial indicator on a magnetic stand is used for the measurement. Place the tip against the circumference of the sprocket or its side face, rotate the shaft and check the deviations. Excessive runout indicates faulty installation or a damaged shaft.
How important is the concentricity of the hub bore relative to the toothed rim?
If the hub bore is not machined concentrically with the toothed rim, the sprocket will "run out" during operation - the teeth will engage the chain at a varying angle, which accelerates their wear and generates additional vibration. That is why boring out the pilot bore must be done on a lathe, clamping the sprocket by the hub or rim, and not "by eye".
How often should chain tension be checked on a machine in operation?
In machines operating continuously, it is advisable to check the tension every few weeks, and in a newly installed drive - as early as after the first hours of operation, when the chain "beds in". A correctly tensioned chain has a slight, visible sag on the slack side - too tight a chain accelerates bearing wear, while too loose a chain increases the risk of it jumping off the sprocket.
Where is this product used?
32B-3 sprockets operate in drives of construction machinery, goods lifts, aggregate conveyors and woodworking machines - wherever tooth durability under load matters.
