Product Description
Sprocket 28B-2 (1 3/4") z=13 with hub, steel is designed for 28B-2 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), double-strand (duplex), with a pitch of 44.45 mm (1 3/4"). It has 13 teeth and is made of structural steel.
The sprocket has a one-sided hub with a diameter of 130 mm, welded to the plate, and a pilot bore of Ø25 mm, which is bored to the shaft size and completed with a keyway or a set screw hole. The total width of the sprocket is 120 mm.

Applications
It works in drives of lifts, winches and heavy chain conveyors. The double-strand version carries higher loads than a single-strand one of the same pitch.
Frequently asked questions
Which chain does the 28B-2 z=13 sprocket fit?
28B-2 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 44.45 mm. A duplex sprocket requires a double-strand (duplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 140 chain?
No. ASA 140 chain (American standard) has the same pitch, but a different roller diameter (25.4 mm instead of 27.94 mm) and a different inner width (25.4 mm instead of 30.99 mm). The 28B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
Can a sprocket with hub be welded to the shaft?
Technically it is possible, but we do not recommend it. Welding overheats the material, can bend the shaft and damage nearby bearings, and makes later replacement of a worn sprocket very difficult. It is better to fix the sprocket with a key.
How should sprockets be aligned during installation?
The driving and driven sprockets must lie in one plane. Alignment can be checked with a long steel straightedge placed against the sides of both wheels or with a laser alignment tool. Even a small misalignment wears the sides of the teeth and speeds up chain wear.
When does a sprocket need replacing?
It should be replaced when the teeth start to look like pointed shark fins or are clearly bent to one side. Running on such a profile quickly destroys even a new chain, so a worn sprocket must be replaced.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
