The sprocket 24B-1 shown is a simplex sprocket with 30 teeth, made with a hub, for chain with a pitch of 1 1/2" / 38.1 mm. Compliance with DIN 8187 / ISO 606 guarantees full interchangeability with a chain of the same pitch; the sprocket is made of C45E steel (EN 10083-1) in a non-hardened version - the standard choice for applications with moderate and medium load.

How do you correctly align sprockets during installation?

The driving and driven sprockets must be in one perfect line. You can use a long steel straightedge placed against the faces of both sprockets or a professional laser alignment tool. Even a slight angular deviation will quickly destroy the chain.

Do you offer sprockets made to custom dimensions, outside the catalogue?

Yes, in addition to catalogue items we also manufacture sprockets to individual drawings or customer requirements - please contact the sales department and provide the required parameters (pitch, number of teeth, hub dimensions, material).

How do you select the number of teeth on the driving and driven sprockets to obtain the required ratio?

The ratio is calculated as the quotient of the number of teeth on the driven sprocket and the number of teeth on the driving sprocket. For example, to halve the rotational speed, the driven sprocket should have twice as many teeth as the driving sprocket - both sprockets must have the same pitch and number of strands.
