Product Description
Sprocket 24B-1 z=18, with hub
Sprocket 24B-1 (pitch 1 1/2" - 38.1 mm), simplex, 18 teeth, with hub. Manufactured in accordance with DIN 8187 / ISO 606 from C45E structural steel (EN 10083-1), without tooth hardening - as a Polish manufacturer, Ozdowski supplies an economical version that is fully dimensionally interchangeable with the hardened variant of the same pitch.

Frequently asked questions
How does material quality prevent the teeth from "shearing" during sudden machine jerks?
Soft, uncertified sheet metal deforms under a sudden jerk - the teeth bend over. Steel from a certified melt, correctly heat-treated, has a high yield strength and withstands a torque surge without permanent deformation.
When does tooth wear (the "shark fin" profile) mean the sprocket must be replaced?
If the teeth resemble pointed, tilted shark fins, the sprocket must be replaced immediately. Operating on such a profile can damage even a brand-new chain within a dozen or so days.
What is a technological bore in a sprocket and why is it left?
We manufacture sprockets with hub with a small, so-called pilot (preliminary) bore. We leave it deliberately so that the customer (or workshop) can bore it precisely to the exact shaft size of their machine.
What does uneven, one-sided wear of the sprocket teeth indicate?
This usually indicates misalignment between the driving and driven sprockets or that the chain is skewed relative to the sprocket. It is worth checking the alignment of both sprockets and the condition of the shaft bearings - over time, one-sided wear causes the chain to jump off the tooth.
Where is this product used?
24B-1 sprockets operate in drives of construction machinery, goods lifts, aggregate conveyors and woodworking machines - wherever tooth durability under load matters.
