Product Description
Sprocket 20B-3 z=38 for Taper-Lock bush 3535, cast iron is designed for 20B-3 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), triple-strand (triplex), with a pitch of 31.75 mm (1 1/4"). It has 38 teeth and is made of EN-GJL-250 cast iron.
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 3535 clamping bush, so it can be mounted on the shaft without boring the hole or cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a 3535 bush with a bore that matches the shaft. The hub diameter is 178 mm and the total width of the sprocket is 89 mm. The bush is not included - the 3535 bush can be purchased separately from our range.

Applications
It works well in high-power agricultural machinery, presses and drives in processing plants. The triple-strand version is chosen for very heavily loaded drives where there is no room for a chain with a larger pitch. The cast iron design works well for large sprockets in reduction gears, where rigidity and vibration damping matter.
Frequently asked questions
Which chain does this sprocket fit?
20B-3 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 31.75 mm. A triplex sprocket requires a triple-strand (triplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 100 chain?
No. ASA 100 chain (American standard) has the same pitch and roller diameter, but a different inner width (19.05 mm instead of 19.56 mm). The 20B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
How do I choose the bush for this sprocket?
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 3535 bush, so a bush with the same number is needed. It is chosen with a bore matching the shaft diameter - before ordering, it is worth measuring the shaft carefully with a caliper in several places.
What does bush number 3535 mean?
The four-digit number indicates the size of the bush. The last two digits give its width in tenths of an inch - the 3535 bush is 3.5 inch wide. The sprocket and the bush must have the same number.
How do I mount a sprocket with a Taper-Lock bush?
Insert the bush into the sprocket seat, align the holes and lightly screw in the screws. Then slide the assembly onto the shaft and tighten the screws alternately until the bush is firmly clamped on the shaft.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
