Product Description
Sprocket 20B-2 z=38 for Taper-Lock bush 3030, cast iron works with 20B-2 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), double-strand (duplex), with a pitch of 31.75 mm (1 1/4"). It has 38 teeth and is made of EN-GJL-250 cast iron.
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 3030 clamping bush, so it can be mounted on the shaft without boring the hole or cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a 3030 bush with a bore that matches the shaft. The hub diameter is 160 mm and the total width of the sprocket is 76 mm. The bush is not included - the 3030 bush can be purchased separately from our range.

Applications
It is used in sawmills, cement plants and bulk material handling lines. The double-strand version carries higher loads than a single-strand one of the same pitch. The cast iron design works well for large sprockets in reduction gears, where rigidity and vibration damping matter.
Frequently asked questions
Which chain does this sprocket fit?
20B-2 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 31.75 mm. A duplex sprocket requires a double-strand (duplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 100 chain?
No. ASA 100 chain (American standard) has the same pitch and roller diameter, but a different inner width (19.05 mm instead of 19.56 mm). The 20B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
Can a new chain be fitted on a worn sprocket?
This should not be done. A worn sprocket has a changed tooth profile, so a new chain runs unevenly and elongates quickly. The rule is: new chain - new sprockets.
When are multi-strand sprockets used?
Double- and triple-strand sprockets work with multi-strand chains in heavily loaded drives where there is no room for a chain with a larger pitch. Several strands share the load evenly, which reduces wear and the risk of chain breakage.
When is a sprocket for a Taper-Lock bush the right choice?
Wherever quick mounting and replacement matter. The clamping bush eliminates boring the hole and cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a bush with a bore that matches the shaft, seat it in the sprocket and tighten the screws.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
