Product Description
Sprocket 20B-2 z=30 for Taper-Lock bush 3525 is designed for 20B-2 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), double-strand (duplex), with a pitch of 31.75 mm (1 1/4"). It has 30 teeth and is made of C45 steel.
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 3525 clamping bush, so it can be mounted on the shaft without boring the hole or cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a 3525 bush with a bore that matches the shaft. The bush is not included - the 3525 bush can be purchased separately from our range.

Frequently asked questions
Which chain does this sprocket fit?
20B-2 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 31.75 mm. A duplex sprocket requires a double-strand (duplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 100 chain?
No. ASA 100 chain (American standard) has the same pitch and roller diameter, but a different inner width (19.05 mm instead of 19.56 mm). The 20B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
How is the pitch diameter of a sprocket calculated?
The pitch diameter Dp is the circle along which the chain rollers travel. It is calculated with the formula: pitch divided by the sine of (180° / number of teeth). For this sprocket it is 303.75 mm, and the outside diameter De is 318.9 mm.
How does the number of teeth affect the drive ratio?
The ratio is the number of teeth of the driven wheel divided by the number of teeth of the driving wheel. If this sprocket drives a wheel with twice as many teeth, the driven shaft turns twice as slowly but with roughly twice the torque.
How should sprockets be aligned during installation?
The driving and driven sprockets must lie in one plane. Alignment can be checked with a long steel straightedge placed against the sides of both wheels or with a laser alignment tool. Even a small misalignment wears the sides of the teeth and speeds up chain wear.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
