Product Description
Sprocket 20B-1 z=26 for Taper-Lock bush 2517 works with 20B-1 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), single-strand (simplex), with a pitch of 31.75 mm (1 1/4"). It has 26 teeth and is made of C45 steel.
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 2517 clamping bush, so it can be mounted on the shaft without boring the hole or cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a 2517 bush with a bore that matches the shaft. Frequently asked questions
Which chain does this sprocket fit?
20B-1 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 31.75 mm. A simplex sprocket requires a single-strand (simplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 100 chain?
No. ASA 100 chain (American standard) has the same pitch and roller diameter, but a different inner width (19.05 mm instead of 19.56 mm). The 20B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
When does a sprocket need replacing?
When the teeth start to look like pointed shark fins or are clearly bent to one side. Running on such a profile quickly destroys even a new chain, so a worn sprocket must be replaced. Thanks to the Taper-Lock bush, replacement is quick.
Can a new chain be fitted on a worn sprocket?
This should not be done. A worn sprocket has a changed tooth profile, so a new chain runs unevenly and elongates quickly. The rule is: new chain - new sprockets.
When is a sprocket for a Taper-Lock bush the right choice?
Wherever quick mounting and replacement matter. The clamping bush eliminates boring the hole and cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a bush with a bore that matches the shaft, seat it in the sprocket and tighten the screws.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
