Product Description
Sprocket 20B-1 z=21 for Taper-Lock bush 2517 is designed for 20B-1 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), single-strand (simplex), with a pitch of 31.75 mm (1 1/4"). It has 21 teeth and is made of C45 steel.
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 2517 clamping bush, so it can be mounted on the shaft without boring the hole or cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a 2517 bush with a bore that matches the shaft. The hub diameter is 108 mm and the total width of the sprocket is 45 mm. The bush is not included - the 2517 bush can be purchased separately from our range.

Frequently asked questions
Which chain does this sprocket fit?
20B-1 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 31.75 mm. A simplex sprocket requires a single-strand (simplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 100 chain?
No. ASA 100 chain (American standard) has the same pitch and roller diameter, but a different inner width (19.05 mm instead of 19.56 mm). The 20B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
Is this sprocket available in another version?
Yes. Also available: Sprocket 20B-1 z=21 for Taper-Lock bush 2517 hardened.
How is the pitch diameter of a sprocket calculated?
The pitch diameter Dp is the circle along which the chain rollers travel. It is calculated with the formula: pitch divided by the sine of (180° / number of teeth). For this sprocket it is 213.04 mm, and the outside diameter De is 228.2 mm.
How does the number of teeth affect the drive ratio?
The ratio is the number of teeth of the driven wheel divided by the number of teeth of the driving wheel. If this sprocket drives a wheel with twice as many teeth, the driven shaft turns twice as slowly but with roughly twice the torque.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
