FAQ

Is this inox sprocket suitable for the food industry?

Yes, this toothed wheel is made of stainless steel (inox), resistant to water and aggressive cleaning agents, which is a hygiene requirement in the food and chemical industries.

How to select a sprocket for a 16B roller chain?

The sprocket must match the parameters of the chain. Pay attention to the standard (European B series or American A series), the pitch (for 16B it is 25.4 mm) and the roller width. The sprocket must have a tooth profile compliant with DIN 8187 so that the chain enters the tooth root smoothly without jamming.

How to align sprockets correctly during installation?

The driving and the driven sprocket must lie in one line. For alignment use a long steel ruler laid against both sprockets or an alignment laser. Even a small angular deviation quickly destroys the chain.

Can I fit a new chain on an old, worn sprocket?

Never do that. An old, deformed sprocket has a changed tooth pitch, which forces drastic stretching of the new chain. The rule applies: new chain - new sprockets. Only then will the drive reach maximum service life.
