Product Description
Sprocket 16B-3 z=95 for Taper-Lock bush 4040, cast iron fits 16B-3 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), triple-strand (triplex), with a pitch of 25.4 mm (1"). It has 95 teeth and is made of EN-GJL-250 cast iron.
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 4040 clamping bush, so it can be mounted on the shaft without boring the hole or cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a 4040 bush with a bore that matches the shaft. The hub diameter is 240 mm and the total width of the sprocket is 102 mm. The bush is not included - the 4040 bush can be purchased separately from our range.

Applications
It works in drives of lifts, winches and heavy chain conveyors. The triple-strand version is chosen for very heavily loaded drives where there is no room for a chain with a larger pitch. The cast iron design works well for large sprockets in reduction gears, where rigidity and vibration damping matter.
Frequently asked questions
Which chain does this sprocket fit?
16B-3 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 25.4 mm. A triplex sprocket requires a triple-strand (triplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 80 chain?
No. ASA 80 chain (American standard) has the same pitch and roller diameter, but a different inner width (15.88 mm instead of 17.02 mm). The 16B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
Is this sprocket available in another version?
Yes. Also available: Sprocket 16B-3 z=95 for Taper-Lock bush 4030.
Can the bush taper be greased before mounting?
No. The bush works by friction, and grease on the tapered surfaces can cause the bush to be drawn in too deep and crack the sprocket hub. The tapered surfaces must be degreased before mounting.
How do I remove a sprocket with a Taper-Lock bush?
Remove the mounting screws and screw one of them into the free dismounting hole. The screw then acts as a puller and pushes the bush out of the sprocket seat.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
