Product Description
Sprocket 16B-3 z=32, with hub
Sprocket 16B-3 (pitch 1" - 25.4 mm), triplex (three-strand), 32 teeth, with hub. Manufactured in accordance with DIN 8187 / ISO 606 from C45E structural steel (EN 10083-1), without tooth hardening - as a Polish manufacturer, Ozdowski supplies an economical version that is fully dimensionally interchangeable with the hardened variant of the same pitch.

Frequently asked questions
How do you correctly align sprockets during installation?
The driving and driven sprockets must be in one perfect line. You can use a long steel straightedge placed against the faces of both sprockets or a professional laser alignment tool. Even a slight angular deviation will quickly destroy the chain.
How should large-diameter sprockets be transported and stored to prevent deformation?
Large sprockets are best stored and transported lying flat on a level, stable surface, rather than resting on the toothed rim alone, which is more susceptible to local deformation. When lifting, it is advisable to use slings passed through the hub bore rather than hooking them onto individual teeth.
How do you calculate the pitch circle diameter of a sprocket?
The pitch circle diameter (Dp) is, in simplified terms, the line along which the chain rollers roll. It is calculated using the formula: pitch divided by sine (180° / number of teeth).
Can the hub of a sprocket have a different hardness from the toothed rim?
Yes, and in practice this is usually the case - in the version with induction-hardened teeth, only the toothed rim is hardened, while the hub remains soft so that it can be freely turned and a keyway can be cut in it. This solution combines tooth wear resistance with ease of machining the hub.
Where is this product used?
16B-3 sprockets operate in drives of construction machinery, goods lifts, aggregate conveyors and woodworking machines - wherever tooth durability under load matters.
