Product Description
Sprocket 16B-3 z=25, with hub
The sprocket 16B-3 shown is a triplex (three-strand) sprocket with 25 teeth, made with a hub, for chain with a pitch of 1" / 25.4 mm. Manufactured in accordance with DIN 8187 / ISO 606 from C45E structural steel (EN 10083-1), without tooth hardening - as a Polish manufacturer, Ozdowski supplies an economical version that is fully dimensionally interchangeable with the hardened variant of the same pitch.

Frequently asked questions
If I order today, when will I receive the product?
Information on the lead time is given next to the product's stock level, above the price. If the sprocket is available in the main warehouse, we ship it no later than the next working day.
Is a sprocket with hub suitable for reversing drives (with a change of rotation direction)?
Yes, the tooth geometry of a sprocket is symmetrical and has no preferred direction of operation, so the sprocket can be used in drives that change direction of rotation. In such systems, correct chain tension on both sides is particularly important, because when reversing, each side alternately becomes the working side.
Can a new chain be fitted on an old, worn sprocket?
Never do this. An old, deformed sprocket has altered tooth geometry and will force drastic mechanical stretching on the new chain. The rule is "new chain - new sprocket" - only then will the drive achieve maximum service life.
Does the difference in hardness between sprocket and chain affect their rate of wear?
Yes - chain and sprocket manufacturers select hardness so that they wear as evenly as possible, rather than one element "cutting down" the other. An excessively hard sprocket working with a soft, non-certified chain (or vice versa) leads to faster wear of the weaker element.
Where is this product used?
Typical applications of the 16B-3 sprocket: drives for pumps, mixers and industrial fans, as well as control systems for industrial gates and roller shutters, where resistance to continuous operation is required.
When placing your order, please check the current stock level of this gear - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in the given warehouse.
