Product Description
Sprocket 16B-2 z=95 for Taper-Lock bush 4040, cast iron is designed for 16B-2 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), double-strand (duplex), with a pitch of 25.4 mm (1"). It has 95 teeth and is made of EN-GJL-250 cast iron.
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 4040 clamping bush, so it can be mounted on the shaft without boring the hole or cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a 4040 bush with a bore that matches the shaft. The hub diameter is 215 mm and the total width of the sprocket is 102 mm. The bush is not included - the 4040 bush can be purchased separately from our range.

Applications
It is designed for heavy-duty drives: aggregate conveyors, construction machinery and mining equipment. The double-strand version carries higher loads than a single-strand one of the same pitch. The cast iron design works well for large sprockets in reduction gears, where rigidity and vibration damping matter.
Frequently asked questions
Which chain does this sprocket fit?
16B-2 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 25.4 mm. A duplex sprocket requires a double-strand (duplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 80 chain?
No. ASA 80 chain (American standard) has the same pitch and roller diameter, but a different inner width (15.88 mm instead of 17.02 mm). The 16B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
Is this sprocket available in another version?
Yes. Also available: Sprocket 16B-2 z=95 for Taper-Lock bush 3525.
How do I choose the bush for this sprocket?
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 4040 bush, so a bush with the same number is needed. It is chosen with a bore matching the shaft diameter - before ordering, it is worth measuring the shaft carefully with a caliper in several places.
What does bush number 4040 mean?
The four-digit number indicates the size of the bush. The last two digits give its width in tenths of an inch - the 4040 bush is 4.0 inch wide. The sprocket and the bush must have the same number.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
