Product Description
Sprocket 16B-2 z=17 for Taper-Lock bush 2517 is designed for 16B-2 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), double-strand (duplex), with a pitch of 25.4 mm (1"). It has 17 teeth and is made of C45 steel.
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 2517 clamping bush, so it can be mounted on the shaft without boring the hole or cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a 2517 bush with a bore that matches the shaft. The total width of the sprocket is 47.7 mm. The bush is not included - the 2517 bush can be purchased separately from our range.

Frequently asked questions
Which chain does this sprocket fit?
16B-2 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 25.4 mm. A duplex sprocket requires a double-strand (duplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 80 chain?
No. ASA 80 chain (American standard) has the same pitch and roller diameter, but a different inner width (15.88 mm instead of 17.02 mm). The 16B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
Is this sprocket available in another version?
Yes. Also available: Sprocket 16B-2 z=17 for Taper-Lock bush 2517 hardened.
How do I choose the bush for this sprocket?
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 2517 bush, so a bush with the same number is needed. It is chosen with a bore matching the shaft diameter - before ordering, it is worth measuring the shaft carefully with a caliper in several places.
What does bush number 2517 mean?
The four-digit number indicates the size of the bush. The last two digits give its width in tenths of an inch - the 2517 bush is 1.7 inch wide. The sprocket and the bush must have the same number.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
