Sprocket 16B-1 z=14 for Taper-Lock bush 1610 hardened is designed for 16B-1 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), single-strand (simplex), with a pitch of 25.4 mm (1"). It has 14 teeth and is made of C45 steel. The teeth are induction hardened, which increases their abrasion resistance.

The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 1610 clamping bush, so it can be mounted on the shaft without boring the hole or cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a 1610 bush with a bore that matches the shaft. The hub diameter is 76 mm and the total width of the sprocket is 25 mm. The bush is not included - the 1610 bush can be purchased separately from our range.

Does it fit ASA 80 chain?

No. ASA 80 chain (American standard) has the same pitch and roller diameter, but a different inner width (15.88 mm instead of 17.02 mm). The 16B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.

Is this sprocket available in another version?

When does a sprocket need replacing?

When the teeth start to look like pointed shark fins or are clearly bent to one side. Running on such a profile quickly destroys even a new chain, so a worn sprocket must be replaced. Thanks to the Taper-Lock bush, replacement is quick.
