Product Description
Sprocket 12B-2 z=24 for Taper-Lock bush 2517 fits 12B-2 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), double-strand (duplex), with a pitch of 19.05 mm (3/4"). It has 24 teeth and is made of C45 steel.
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 2517 clamping bush, so it can be mounted on the shaft without boring the hole or cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a 2517 bush with a bore that matches the shaft. The hub diameter is 108 mm and the total width of the sprocket is 45 mm. The bush is not included - the 2517 bush can be purchased separately from our range.

Frequently asked questions
Which chain does this sprocket fit?
12B-2 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 19.05 mm. A duplex sprocket requires a double-strand (duplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 60 chain?
No. ASA 60 chain (American standard) has the same pitch, but a different roller diameter (11.91 mm instead of 12.07 mm) and a different inner width (12.7 mm instead of 11.68 mm). The 12B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
How do I choose the bush for this sprocket?
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 2517 bush, so a bush with the same number is needed. It is chosen with a bore matching the shaft diameter - before ordering, it is worth measuring the shaft carefully with a caliper in several places.
What does bush number 2517 mean?
The four-digit number indicates the size of the bush. The last two digits give its width in tenths of an inch - the 2517 bush is 1.7 inch wide. The sprocket and the bush must have the same number.
How do I mount a sprocket with a Taper-Lock bush?
Insert the bush into the sprocket seat, align the holes and lightly screw in the screws. Then slide the assembly onto the shaft and tighten the screws alternately until the bush is firmly clamped on the shaft.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
