Product Description
Sprocket 12A-1 (60-1) z=22 plate wheel fits ASA 60 (12A-1) roller chain, single-strand (simplex), with a pitch of 19.05 mm (3/4"). It is a plate wheel without a hub, has 22 teeth and is made of C45 steel in accordance with ISO 606 and ANSI B29.1.
The plate wheel has a pilot bore. It can be bolted or welded to your own hub, flange or drum, which makes it a good choice for larger ratios and non-standard designs.

Frequently asked questions
Which chain does this sprocket fit?
ASA 60-1 (12A-1) roller chain with a pitch of 19.05 mm. A simplex sprocket requires a single-strand (simplex) chain.
Does it fit 12B chain?
No. 12B chain (European standard) has the same pitch, but a different roller diameter (12.07 mm instead of 11.91 mm) and a different inner width (11.68 mm instead of 12.7 mm). The ASA 60 sprocket is designed for American-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
How is the pitch diameter of a sprocket calculated?
The pitch diameter Dp is the circle along which the chain rollers travel. It is calculated with the formula: pitch divided by the sine of (180° / number of teeth). For this sprocket it is 133.86 mm, and the outside diameter De is 143.75 mm.
When should I choose a plate wheel and when a sprocket with hub?
A plate wheel is chosen when the wheel is fixed to an existing flange, drum or your own hub, or when there is little space on the shaft. A sprocket with hub works better where torque is transmitted directly from the shaft via a key.
How does the number of teeth affect the drive ratio?
The ratio is the number of teeth of the driven wheel divided by the number of teeth of the driving wheel. If this sprocket drives a wheel with twice as many teeth, the driven shaft turns twice as slowly but with roughly twice the torque.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
