Product Description
Sprocket 10B-2 z=57 for Taper-Lock bush 2517, cast iron is designed for 10B-2 roller chain (European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606), double-strand (duplex), with a pitch of 15.875 mm (5/8"). It has 57 teeth and is made of EN-GJL-250 cast iron.
The sprocket has a seat for a Taper-Lock 2517 clamping bush, so it can be mounted on the shaft without boring the hole or cutting a keyway in the sprocket - simply choose a 2517 bush with a bore that matches the shaft. The hub diameter is 124 mm and the total width of the sprocket is 45 mm. The bush is not included - the 2517 bush can be purchased separately from our range.

Applications
It is used in woodworking machinery, winches and internal transport equipment. The double-strand version carries higher loads than a single-strand one of the same pitch. The cast iron design works well for large sprockets in reduction gears, where rigidity and vibration damping matter.
Frequently asked questions
Which chain does this sprocket fit?
10B-2 roller chain to European standard DIN 8187 / ISO 606, with a pitch of 15.875 mm. A duplex sprocket requires a double-strand (duplex) chain.
Does it fit ASA 50 chain?
No. ASA 50 chain (American standard) has the same pitch and roller diameter, but a different inner width (9.52 mm instead of 9.65 mm). The 10B sprocket is designed for European-standard chain, so the two systems should not be mixed.
What does bush number 2517 mean?
The four-digit number indicates the size of the bush. The last two digits give its width in tenths of an inch - the 2517 bush is 1.7 inch wide. The sprocket and the bush must have the same number.
How do I mount a sprocket with a Taper-Lock bush?
Insert the bush into the sprocket seat, align the holes and lightly screw in the screws. Then slide the assembly onto the shaft and tighten the screws alternately until the bush is firmly clamped on the shaft.
Can the bush taper be greased before mounting?
No. The bush works by friction, and grease on the tapered surfaces can cause the bush to be drawn in too deep and crack the sprocket hub. The tapered surfaces must be degreased before mounting.
What does the lead time depend on?
When ordering, please check the current stock level of this sprocket - the lead time depends on it and is clearly stated according to the quantity available in each warehouse. The stock level is shown above the product price and may vary depending on the warehouse.
